Hi Everyone!

As we all plunge headlong into tournament season crunch time, I didn't want to let the moment pass without wishing each and every team in New York the very best of luck as they continue the journey!

It is VERY important that each Team Manager continue to stress with teams that the 'enemy' is the CHALLENGE and not the other teams competing on tournament day.  We shall name Champions at each of our tournaments that will advance to the next level of competition, but EVERY team that has completed a solution and showed it to the Appraisers at a tournament has already won!  They took on these difficult and complex Challenges and presented a solution - they are winners! 

At this point in the year Clarifications are closed, consequently, all published clarifications are already posted on the Destination ImagiNation International Website located at http://www.destinationimagination.org PLEASE make sure your team is familiar with ALL the Clarifications issued for their Challenge.

Tournament Schedules are being posted to the website as soon as they are available, they are also being mailed out to each Team - if you do not get a schedule within the next week check on our website at http://nydi.org before calling your Regional Director.

If you have not done so already, please download and read the Tournament Travel Guide for Teams from our website home page.  It will help you and your team prepare for the best possible experience they can have at our Tournaments!

And, last, but certainly not least, REMEMBER TO HAVE FUN!  As tournament day approaches, many teams experience the crunch of trying to complete their solution, and this can cause frustration and anxiety for team members and team managers.  Take time to play as a team.  Destination ImagiNation is about having FUN while learning to work together and express ourselves creatively.  Have a movie night, go to a park, play a game - do something to unwind and just enjoy being together!
